Respiratory Unit - Respiratory Therapist - $2220 per week.

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• Experience with Cerner is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed.

• No current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Humboldt General Hospital.

Additional Details:

Special Requests: - At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to. - Holiday scheduling is based on seniority and requests.

Preferred Skills/Experience: - Pediatric, adult, and NICU experience preferred.

Unit Details: - May work as the only RT in-house; when two RTs are on days, duties are split based on need in acute/ICU, ER, outpatient, and OB areas. - Covers inpatient, outpatient, ER, floor, ICU, and OB patients; attends all high-risk deliveries and C-sections, and responds to rapid response calls. - May assist with cardiac and pulmonary rehab as needed. - RT duties include drawing and running ABGs, EKGs, PFTs, stress tests, and breathing treatments. - Intubation responsibilities include assisting the MD, with progression toward independent intubation. - Equipment includes Hamilton C1 vents, Philips Respironics V60 BiPAPs, Vapotherm, and Airvo. - Hospitalist or intensivist available in-house 24/7.

Shift & Scheduling: - No call. - May need night shift coverage for call-offs/vacations. - Weekend requirements are as they fall with the schedule.

1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months

Certifications:

• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) or the alternative certification CRT

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program – 8th Edition)

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
