Respiratory Unit - Respiratory Therapist - $2300 per week.

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• Experience with Epic is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required for submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Flu vaccination required for submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Anyone currently working at this facility cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience:

• 1–2 years of Respiratory Therapy experience is required.
• Adult ICU & ED, and NICU experience are required.
• Must be comfortable supporting Adult Critical Care, Emergency Department and NICU patients.
• Intubation assistance, extubation and airway management experience are required.
• Nasal and oral suctioning, tracheostomy care and pulmonary hygiene are required.
• Experience caring for patients with ARDS, aspiration, COVID, fresh tracheostomies and pneumonia is required.
• Ventilator management experience is required, including BiPAP, CPAP, IMV/SIMV and weaning from mechanical ventilation.
• High Flow Nasal Cannula, oxygen therapy and nebulizer treatments are required.
• Arterial punctures and ABG interpretation are required.
• Chest physiotherapy and respiratory treatment administration are required.
• Neonatal and pediatric respiratory support experience is required, including apnea monitoring, high-risk delivery support, Bubble CPAP and neonatal/pediatric ventilation.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Teaching hospital experience is preferred.
• Community hospital experience is preferred.

Special Requests:

• One pre-approved time-off request is permitted per contract.

Unit Details:

• Patient population includes neonatal, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Every third weekend is required.
• No call.

Floating Requirements:

• Floating within scope between like units, including Adult ICU/ED and NICU, is required to meet facility needs.

14 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 3 years

1 Manager reference required from within the last 12 months

Proof of identification required

Certifications:

• CRT (Certified Respiratory Therapist) or the alternative certification RRT

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
