Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).

• 2 years of Respiratory Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <80 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 6 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Resume: Each employment history entry must include all the following: detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, teaching facility. References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to.

Required Skills/Experience: Minimum 2 years recent respiratory therapist experience. Minimum 2 years of experience specialized in NICU, PICU and minimum adult GF experience. Our first choice would be a NICU- and PICU-experienced therapist, but a therapist with NICU or PICU experience plus adult experience may be considered. Level 4 NICU experience is required, including high-frequency ventilation (Jet and HFOV), nitric oxide, high-risk deliveries, and care of gestational ages 22 weeks and above; experience with ventilators down to micro-preemies in a level 4 NICU is required.

Special Requests: Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Eligibility as Current/Previous Employee: Must take full 6 months off from any Good Samaritan Society and Marshfield Clinic Health System location as well. Must disclose previous employment on your resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check. If previously employed by Sanford Health, the end date must be 6 months prior to the submission date.

Unit Details: Patient populations include NICU, PICU/pediatric, and adult patients, including high-risk deliveries. Procedures and responsibilities include respiratory therapy assessments and protocols, arterial punctures and blood gas analysis, ventilator and NIV therapy management, medication delivery, airway clearance, assistance with intubations, tracheostomy changes and decannulation, extubations, emergency response teams, ICU rounds, intrahospital patient transport, and high-risk deliveries. Clinicians do not work alone. Equipment includes Omnicell medication cabinets; Hamilton G5 and C1, V60, Airvo, blender high-flow setups; Philips CoughAssist, Synclara Cough Device, Volara, Vest, IPV, ResMed AutoPAPs; Radiometer ABL90 Flex, EPOC POC device, Aerogen, nitric oxide, 3100 A and B HFOV, and Braun Syringe Pump. Additional equipment includes Trilogy, Astral and Vivo home vents; Bunnell HFJV; Infant Flow SiPAP; Bubble CPAP; Sentec TCM; NeoPuff; and Zebra mobile phones.

Shift & Scheduling: Day/night rotation; every other weekend. Holiday coverage is required, with 8- and 12-hour holiday shifts. Straight weekends only may be considered. Extra shifts may be available.

Floating Requirements: Inpatient respiratory therapy care is at SMCF. If interested, candidates can train to BDWY or SU campus if there are needs.

2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 12 months

Driver’s license required for submission

Certifications:

• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) or the alternative certification CRT
