Respiratory Unit - Respiratory Therapist - $2390 per week.

Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone who worked as Per Diem at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience:
Vent management, CPAP, BiPap, Nebs, a-line placement, assisting providers with intubation, vent weaning, extubation, and ABGs are required.

Special Requests:
RTO of up to 7 days may be approved.

Unit Details:
Patient population is mostly geriatrics and adults, with some peds in the ED.
Case load will vary depending on acuity. Typical case load is 10-15 patients for general floor assignment, 6-8 patients for ICU assignment.
Uses Pyxis for medication dispensing.
Unit-specific equipment includes AVEA vents, Servo U Vent, LPU 1200 Vents, Parapack vents for MRI, and Hamilton vents for transport.

Shift & Scheduling:
Every other weekend.
No call.
Holidays as needed.
All staff, including travelers, cannot work more than 60 hours in a week or 5 consecutive 12-hour shifts.
Overtime could be available, depending on needs.

Floating Requirements:
Floats to all units within the hospital.

7 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months

1 Manager reference required from within the last 12 months

Proof of identification required

Certifications:

• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) or the alternative certification CRT

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
