Shift: 5:30 PM - 6:00 AM
Experience:
• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• Certificate completion required.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.
• 24 months gap required between for Staff at Program: RightSourcing Program - Carle Health and no current placement allowed at Program: RightSourcing Program - Carle Health.

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: 1+ years of experience in/with skills in respiratory therapy, ventilator management, electrocardiogram, oxygen administration, and airway management.
Required Credentials: Associate’s degree in Respiratory Therapy OR Certificate in Respiratory Therapy Temp Illinois licensure is not accepted.
Unit Details: The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) shall provide all aspects of respiratory care under the guidance of a qualified physician and the Director of Respiratory Therapy. Responsibilities include administering oxygen mixtures using various oxygen delivery devices; setting up, initiating, and maintaining ventilators and CPAP devices; assisting with intubation; airway maintenance; endotracheal and tracheostomy care; care during and after extubation; cardiopulmonary resuscitation and related life support procedures; respiratory therapy-related medications; secretion removal techniques including hydration, breathing and coughing exercise, postural drainage, chest percussion, and airway suctioning; pulmonary function testing if trained; use of department pulmonary function equipment; 12 lead EKGs; arterial punctures and arterial line draws; BiPap and Opiflow setup and evaluation of patient response to therapy; safe handling, dismantling, and reassembly of respiratory therapy equipment; oversight of certified and non-certified technicians when needed; and care for patients across age groups.
Shift & Scheduling: Rotating weekends. Rotating holidays.
Floating Requirements: Travelers assigned to the Greater Peoria Service Area may be required to float between the following sites: Carle Health Methodist Hospital, Carle Health Pekin Hospital, and/or Carle Health Proctor Hospital. The Carle Leader will notify the traveler directly when there is a need to float between locations.
7 days maximum time off. Maximum consecutive days off: 3
2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 2 years
