Shift: 5:30 AM - 6:00 PM

Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >25 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Cheyenne Regional Health System.

References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to.

Special Requests: Block scheduling may be available; they will work with travelers. Holiday requests may be allowed based on staffing needs.

Unit Details: Uses Epic. Typically the first round is the busiest, with about 13 patients initially and about 5 later; assignments may move floors after first rounds. Vent assignments range from 1:1 to 1:6. Adults, pediatrics, and some neonates; high-acuity neonates are stabilized and transported, and infants may remain on CPAP. The pediatric floor uses high-flow nasal cannula. Covers inpatient areas; travelers do not work outpatient or sleep lab. May serve as a preceptor. If assigned to the ER and ICU, you will stay there for the day; floor assignments fluctuate. Draw ABGs using EPOC, perform EKGs when needed, assist with intubation, and assist with transports. No arterial lines. Must know how to use the bronch adapter and assist with bronchoscopies. Uses Puritan Bennett 980 vents, Dräger nursery vents, Philips CPAP/BiPAP, DreamStation and V30, EV300 and V60, Optiflow, and Parapack for transport. A provider is always on call 24/7.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. No holiday requirements. No call.

Floating Requirements: Will assist throughout the hospital.

14 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• CRT (Certified Respiratory Therapist)

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program – 8th Edition)

• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
