Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Respiratory Unit experience.

• Travel experience is required.

• Experience with Epic is required.

• Trauma Level 2 experience is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required for submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Flu vaccination required for submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Anyone currently working at this facility cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Required Skills/Experience: 2+ years of recent ECMO experience in a pediatric hospital is required. Experience as a neonatal/pediatric ECMO specialist providing care for and operating ECMO equipment on critically ill patients is required. Experience working the ECMO pump is required. Priming ECMO circuits is required.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Previous Charge Experience: Preferred Teaching hospital experience is preferred.

Required Credentials: Need RRT, not CRT.

Unit Details: Patient population includes neonates, infants, pediatric patients, adolescents, and adults. Patient population includes, but is not limited to, congenital heart defects, RDS, PPHN/MAS, ARDS, reactive airways disease, restrictive lung disease, pulmonary hypertension, bronchopulmonary dysplasia, tracheostomy/ventilator dependence, pulmonary interstitial emphysema, air leak syndromes, and patients undergoing general, cardiac, airway, or neurosurgery and organ transplantation.

Shift & Scheduling: The schedule rotates between Night shifts (19:00-07:00) and Day shifts (07:00-19:00). Every third weekend.

Floating Requirements: When not functioning as an ECMO Specialist, RT/ECMO Specialists provide respiratory care in the Medical ICU, Intermediate Care, Neonatal ICU, Cardiac ICU, Medical/Surgical ICU, and Emergency Department.

14 days maximum time off

2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required
