Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Qualivis Program - University of Virginia and no current placement allowed at Program: Qualivis Program - University of Virginia.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: - Must have Level IV NICU experience. - Must be competent in the use of both the Bunnell Jet Ventilator and HFOV 3100A.

Preferred Skills/Experience: - Cardiac PICU experience preferred. - Teaching hospital experience is preferred.

Required Credentials: - Any hit on your license must be disclosed. Hits will be sent to UVA leadership for approval prior to proceeding.

Special Requests: - Travelers are not eligible to return after reaching 365 total assignment days, regardless of time away.

Unit Details: - Children’s Hospital setting with a pediatric emergency department, Level IV NICU, and PICU for patients younger than 18. - Neonate, infant, pediatric, and adolescent patient population. - Cares for patients in the NICU, PICU, high-risk deliveries, and acute care pediatrics. - Complex congenital heart program caring for patients with congenital cardiac defects, including transplants and ECMO.

Shift & Scheduling: - Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 per week. - Every other weekend. Every other holiday. - Self-scheduling model; preferred schedule is not guaranteed but accommodations will be attempted.

Floating Requirements: - Required to work in all units of the Children’s Hospital.

3 days maximum time off

2 Charge/Lead references required

Certifications:

• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist)

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program – 8th Edition)

• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

• RRT-ACCS (Adult Critical Care Specialty)

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
