Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required for submission).

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• 12 months gap required between for Any Contract Type at Program: Sunburst Workforce Advisors Program - Cape Cod Healthcare and no current placement allowed at Program: Sunburst Workforce Advisors Program - Cape Cod Healthcare.

Additional Details:

Preferred Skills/Experience: Minimum one year of critical care experience preferred.

Required Credentials: Basic Arrhythmia exam and Pharmacology exam required upon offer acceptance; failure after two attempts results in immediate cancellation by the facility.

Unit Details: Provides ventilatory support, including ventilator setting recommendations, lung protective strategies, weaning, and troubleshooting. Performs ABG draws and interpretation, sputum specimen collection, bedside spirometry, capnography, and airway clearance therapies including PEP and CPT. Attends codes and rapid responses; assists with conscious sedations, intubations, and bronchoscopies in the bronch suite, OR, floors, ED, and ICU. Administers oxygen, Heliox, high-flow oxygen therapy, aerosolized and metered-dose medications, and non-invasive ventilation. Manages tracheostomy and laryngectomy tubes and artificial airways, including suctioning and tracheostomy tube changes. Monitors respiratory patients during transport within the hospital and to other facilities as needed. Provides care to neonatal and pediatric patients. May precept and orient students, other departments, and respiratory staff. Uses unit monitors in daily practice.

Shift & Scheduling: Rotating nights. Every other weekend. Every other holiday.

Certifications:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) or the alternative certification CRT

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program – 8th Edition)
