Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Experience:
• 12 months of experience worked in the last 12 months.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.
• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: HealthTrust Program - Christus Health and no current placement allowed at Program: HealthTrust Program - Christus Health.

Additional Details:
Preferred Skills/Experience: - 1-3 years of experience preferred.

Unit Details: - Unit patient population is adult. - Provides pulmonary care throughout the hospital for critical, non-critical, and chronically ill patients under physician direction with minimal supervision; may include adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients. - Performs patient assessments and institutes respiratory care plans. - Responsibilities include emergency response (Code Blue and White), airway management including nasotracheal and endotracheal suctioning, aerosolized drug delivery, ventilator setup and management, airway support device management including BiPAP and CPAP, oxygen delivery and therapeutic monitoring, chest film analysis, blood gas collection and analysis, and EKG analysis. - Advanced practice skills may include therapeutic gas management and monitoring including INO and HeO2, pulmonary function testing, bronchoscopy assist, hemodynamic monitoring, waveform analysis, nocturnal SpO2 evaluation (desaturation studies), polysomnography, and transport duties. - May function as Shift Leader or Team Leader.
Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend. - No call.
7 days maximum time off
1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 2 years
1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 2 years
Proof of identification required
Certifications:
• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
