Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

• Trauma Level 2 experience is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - (Midwest) CommonSpirit Health and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - (Midwest) CommonSpirit Health.

• 12 months gap required between for Per Diem at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - (Midwest) CommonSpirit Health and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - (Midwest) CommonSpirit Health.

Required Skills/Experience: Recent Level 1 or Level 2 experience required. EKGs, bedside bronchs, and bedside spirometry.

Special Requests: Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Cannot have worked at any CommonSpirit location within the last 12 months. Cannot be full-time, part-time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity. RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions. Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility.

Unit Details: Inpatient coverage across all areas/floors, serving patients from neonates to geriatrics. Hospitalist or intensivist in house 24/7. Lead therapist on each shift; traveler will not be the only RT in-house. Uses Drager, Servo I, Carefusion (Heliox and NICU use only) vents; Vision, V60, V30, Respironics S/T Bipaps; Airvo2 high flow.

Shift & Scheduling: Team scheduling. Every other weekend for nights. Holidays rotate with permanent staff.

Floating Requirements: Float to different areas throughout the hospital in the RT capacity.

7 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1. Start assignment restriction: 14 days

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months

Driver’s license required for submission

Certifications:

• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

• CRT (Certified Respiratory Therapist) or the alternative certification RRT

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program – 8th Edition)

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
