Shift: 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - St. Luke’s Health System and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - St. Luke’s Health System.

Additional Details:

Each employment history entry must include all the following: detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, teaching facility. At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to.

Required Skills/Experience: - Must have NICU experience.

Required Credentials: - STABLE and NRP are only required for NICU or travelers handling babies.

Special Requests: - Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. - If previously employed at the facility, one-off exceptions may be considered but must be approved by St. Luke’s Health System. - Can do block scheduling.

Unit Details: - Uses Epic. - Up to 30 treatments per shift; assignments are divided by floor, so workload can vary and may be heavier at times. - Patients range from NICU to geriatrics, including ICU, stepdown, Med-Surg, and a small pediatric unit; no PICU. Level III NICU with occasional vent patients. - Covers inpatient and ER. - Duties include drawing and analyzing ABGs, breathing treatments, BiPAP, CPAP, vent management, and possible bedside bronchoscopy assistance; does not perform EKGs. - Assists with intubation and may place an LMA. - Equipment includes Drager vents, Cervo-NICU, Hamilton transport vent, Vapotherm, and Philips V60 and V30. - May serve as charge depending on experience and willingness. - Will not be the only RT in-house.

Shift & Scheduling: - Self scheduling. - Every other weekend. - Will work holidays if needed. - Call or standby requirement: low census per contract.

Floating Requirements: - First to float to ICU, floors, NICU, and ER.

14 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 3 years

Driver’s license required for submission

Certifications:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) or the alternative certification CRT

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

• STABLE (Sugar, Temperature, Airway. Blood Pressure, Lab work and Emotional Support)

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program – 8th Edition)
