Shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM
Experience:
• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• Experience with Epic is required.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a license (required after submission).
• This role will require floating to multiple units
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >100 miles from facility to be submitted.
• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

Additional Details:
Artificial nails are not allowed for any travelers. Failure to adhere could result in being sent home and/or terminated if policy is not followed.
Required Skills/Experience: ER, ICU, and inpatient adult experience required.
Preferred Skills/Experience: Peds experience preferred; willing to train on Peds.
Preferred Credentials: RRT preferred.
Special Requests: If candidate worked a perm facility in the last 12 months, 1 reference must be from perm facility. Cumulative experience applies for previous travelers. At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to. No previous employment allowed at this facility.
Unit Details: Uses Expanse - hCare. Adults mainly; facility also has a pediatric inpatient unit and a family birthing unit with no C-sections. Covers all inpatient areas, ED, inpatient and outpatient EKGs, and outpatient bronchs in a procedural setting; may be called to initiate CPAP on an infant. Travelers do not cover the Sleep Lab, Pulmonary Rehab, or Cardiac Rehab. Breathing treatments, vent management, ABG draws and sample analysis, and EKGs for inpatient and outpatient areas. Core RTs can place arterial lines. Can have as many as 8-9 vents in ICU at a time. As many as 40-70 treatments per therapist. Uses a points system to assign areas and tries to break up areas evenly. Travelers are not required to do any critical care transporting outside of the facility. Assist in intubation only. RT equipment includes Puritan Bennett 840, Hamilton C1, Avea, BiPAP V60, and Vapotherm. Open ICU with 2 pulmonologists on staff, hospitalist in house 24/7, and physician residents who may intubate from time to time. A lead therapist or supervisor is always available for questions.
Shift & Scheduling: Set schedules; manager makes the schedule 4 weeks at a time. Every other weekend; open to travelers wanting to work only weekends. If a holiday falls on the scheduled day to work, it will be worked. Holidays are Christmas and New Year’s. No call.
Floating Requirements: Within facility only.
14 days maximum time off
1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 2 years
Driver’s license required for submission
Certifications:
• CRT (Certified Respiratory Therapist) or the alternative certification RRT
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program – 8th Edition)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• STABLE (Sugar, Temperature, Airway. Blood Pressure, Lab work and Emotional Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
