Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - St. Luke’s Health System and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - St. Luke’s Health System.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: - Must be able to care for adult, pediatric, and NICU patients.

Preferred Skills/Experience: - Level II NICU experience preferred. - Comfortable going to deliveries and initiating CPAP preferred.

Required Credentials: - CRT not accepted.

Special Requests: - Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. - Previous St. Luke’s Health System employees may be considered on a one-off basis with approved exception. - RTO should be submitted ahead of time. - May be asked to go into the holiday rotation.

Unit Details: - Approximately 25-28 treatments per 8-hour shift. - Covers ER and inpatient respiratory care on all floors. - Patient population includes Level IIB NICU, MICU, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics. - Provides PACU treatments and overnight oximetry; pediatric ER patients are stabilized and transferred out. - Job duties include ABGs (radial or brachial), all respiratory treatments, and managing respiratory equipment. - Intubation role is assisting only. - Intensivists, hospitalists, and anesthesia are in house 24/7; eICU support at night. - Uses Drager V500, Hamilton, ReVel, V60s, Vapotherm, and EPOC.

Shift & Scheduling: - Self-scheduling; travelers are last to sign up, must stay flexible to fill permanent staff gaps, and may be asked to trade with staff and/or rotate between shifts: Days 0700-1930, Evenings 1100-2330, Nights 1900-0730. - Every other weekend; nights work Friday and Saturday, days work Saturday and Sunday. - Optional call/standby via text list; 30-minute response time.

Floating Requirements: - Travelers are first to float. - Must be comfortable floating between ICU, MICU, MS-Tele, ER, and other specialties. - Can float throughout the hospital and to sister facilities in Nampa (14 miles west) and Boise (10 miles east), including mid-shift, with a minimum of 60 minutes’ heads-up prior to the shift.

7 days maximum time off

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 3 years

Driver’s license required for submission

Certifications:

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program – 8th Edition)

• STABLE (Sugar, Temperature, Airway. Blood Pressure, Lab work and Emotional Support)

• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist)

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
