Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Experience:
• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 3 months of travel experience is required.
• Experience with Meditech is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >75 miles from facility to be submitted.
• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Phoebe Putney and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Phoebe Putney.

Required Skills/Experience: - Critical care experience required. - Must have intubation experience and be comfortable intubating patients; RT is first line for intubations during codes. - Must be able to work adult ICU and manage vents, make suggestions for vent management, read ABGs, and alert critical values. - Must be used to high and heavy workloads. - 300+ bed experience required. - Assignments are based on units; floor therapist needs minimum one year experience, if critical care need minimum of 2 years.
Special Requests: - Strict 75 mile radius rule.
Unit Details: - Uses Meditech and Servo vents (U and I models). - Duties include nebs, airway management, vapotherm, BiPAP, CPAP, vents, ABG collection, bedside PFTs, CPT, and bronchs; ICU RTs may place A lines and manage blood gases. - Therapists do 550 minutes per shift, average of 15 minutes per treatment, and average 13-15 patients per shift. - ICU assignments are up to 4 airways per therapist. - Adult assignments include pediatric through adult patients; NICU RTs are separate from adult staffing. - Common patient disease processes include COPD, CHF, pneumonia, respiratory failure, ARDS, and cancers.
Shift & Scheduling: - Fri-Sun. - Rotated with permanent staff; every other holiday can be expected. - No call.
7 days maximum time off
1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months
1 reference required from within the last 3 years
Driver’s license required for submission
