Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required for submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

Additional Details:

Required Credentials: Upon accepting an offer, you will be assigned a Basic Arrhythmia exam and a Pharmacology exam. If you fail the exams twice, this will result in an immediate cancellation by the facility.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Minimum one-year critical care experience preferred.

Unit Details: Provides respiratory care to patients with acute and chronic cardiopulmonary dysfunction. Initiates and provides ventilatory support, including recommending appropriate ventilator settings, using lung protective strategies, appropriately weaning patients, and monitoring and troubleshooting the ventilator. Performs diagnostic and bedside procedures including ABG draws, sputum specimen collection, ABG interpretation, bedside spirometry, capnography, and monitoring patients’ respiratory condition during transport within the hospital and to other facilities as needed. Attends codes and rapid response teams and assists with conscious sedations, intubations, and bronchoscopies performed in the bronch suite, OR, floors, ER, and ICU. Administers therapeutic gases such as oxygen, Heliox, and high-flow oxygen therapy. Assesses for and administers PEP, CPT, airway clearance devices and methods, aerosolized and metered dose medications, and non-invasive ventilation. Assesses tracheostomy and laryngectomy tubes, maintains artificial airways, performs naso-tracheal, endotracheal, and tracheostomy suctioning, and assists providers with tracheostomy tube changes. Provides care to the neonatal and pediatric population. Uses monitors on the units and documents airway details and other care in the EMR, including the EMR avatar. Participates in multidisciplinary rounds and performs daily charge reconciliation.

Floating Requirements: May float between Cape Cod Hospital and Falmouth Hospital.

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) or the alternative certification CRT
