Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
Experience:
• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• Experience with Cerner is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a license (required for submission).
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <60 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Aya Program - MedStar Health and no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - MedStar Health.

Required Skills/Experience: - Respiratory services include ventilator management, high-flow therapy, BiPAP, aerosol treatments, and chest physical therapy. - Required skills: Albuterol, Atrovent, BiPAP, Combivent, CPAP, Flovent, hand held nebulizer, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), inhaled steroids, interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs), Isuprel, lidocaine, nasal airway suctioning, oral/nasal suctioning, Perforomist, Pulmicort, pulmonary hygiene, racemic epinephrine, Spiriva, T-piece, terbutaline sulfate, tobramycin, trach collar, tracheostomy care/management, troubleshooting high-pressure alarms, weaning from mechanical ventilation, and Xopenex.
Preferred Skills/Experience: - Trauma and pulmonary function testing. - Preferred work settings/skills: adult critical care, emergency department, bronchoscopy, extubation, ketamine, Mucomyst, nasal airway placement, nitric oxide (iNO), oral airway placement, sputum specimen collection, and theophylline. - Preferred equipment experience: Puritan Bennett, Draeger, Servo I, Evita XL, Viasys Vela, and Maquet U.
Special Requests: - You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing. - For DC locations, you must have a DC license in hand, but certain units accept pending (see JD). MedStar will usually accept a later booking date if you have applied for DC licensure.
Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend is required. - No call requirement.
7 days maximum time off. Start assignment restriction: 14 days
2 Manager/Supervisor references required from within the last 12 months

Certifications:
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• CRT (Certified Respiratory Therapist) or the alternative certification RRT
