Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 3 months of Meditech experience is preferred.

• 9 months of acute care experience within the last 12 months.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: HealthTrust Program - HCA - South Atlantic Division.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience:

Minimum of 2 years NICU Transport experience

Neonatal Airway & Ventilation: Mask ventilation, airway stabilization, ventilator management (conventional, HFOV, CPAP/NIV, HFNC), transport ventilators.

Transport Operations: Transport physiology, isolette systems, equipment troubleshooting, oxygen management, EMS integration, safety protocols.

Critical Neonatal Care: RDS, MAS, PPHN, BPD, sepsis, thermoregulation, hemodynamic support, early recognition of deterioration.

Safety & Emergencies: NRP skills, crisis management (equipment failure, respiratory decline), infection control.

Understanding of transport physiology (effects of motion, vibration, altitude, temperature).

Knowledge of ground and air transport safety protocols (EMS integration).

Ability to manage equipment restraints, power sources, and gas supply monitoring during transport.

Shift & Scheduling: Scheduling special requirements: 2-3 per week

10 days maximum time off

1 reference required from within the last 12 months

Driver’s license required

Certifications:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) or the alternative certification CRT (National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC))

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program – 8th Edition)

• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

• STABLE (Sugar, Temperature, Airway. Blood Pressure, Lab work and Emotional Support)

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
