Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience worked in the last 12 months.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required for submission).

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: HealthTrust Program - Christus Health and no current placement allowed at Program: HealthTrust Program - Christus Health.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: - 1 - 3 years of experience preferred.

Special Requests: - Any employment gaps greater than 90 days must be explained. - You may not concurrently work any other position or assignment while on contract at this facility. Candidates submitted must be fully available and committed to this single assignment. - Travel pairs will not be considered. - Temp to perm is a possibility.

Unit Details: - Adult patients. - Responsible for the pulmonary care of critical, non-critical, and chronically ill adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients under the direction of a physician with minimal supervision. - Performs patient assessments and institutes respiratory care plans. - Performs various technical and diagnostic respiratory therapy procedures in all areas of the hospital. - Emergency response for Code Blue and White. - Airway management including nasotracheal and endotracheal suctioning. - Delivery of aerosolized drugs. - Ventilator management, including setup and operation. - Airway support device management including BiPAP and CPAP devices. - Oxygen delivery devices and therapeutic monitoring. - Chest film analysis. - Blood gas collection and analysis. - EKG analysis. - Advanced practice skills may include therapeutic gas management and monitoring, including INO and HeO2; pulmonary function testing; bronchoscopy assist; hemodynamic monitoring; waveform analysis; nocturnal SpO2 evaluation (desaturation studies); polysomnography; and transport duties.

Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend. - No call.

7 days maximum time off

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 2 years

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 2 years

Proof of identification required

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist)
