Shift: 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM
Experience:
• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 3 months of travel experience is required.
• Experience with Cerner is required.
• Trauma Level 2 experience is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a license (required for submission).
• This role will require floating to multiple units
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <60 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Aya Program - MedStar Health and no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - MedStar Health.

Additional Details:
References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.
Manager may or may not interview. Clinician must be okay with this. If clinician has questions, please email the AM.
You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
Required Skills/Experience: 2 years of experience as an RRT in Adult Critical Care and NICU. 1 prior travel assignment completed. Required skills include Airway Management Devices/Suctioning, Albuterol, Atrovent, Combivent, Flovent, inhaled steroids, Isuprel, Lidocaine, Perforomist, Pulmicort, racemic epinephrine, Spiriva, Terbutaline Sulfate, Tobramycin, Xopenex, aerosol set up mask, aerosol set up trach, Medihaler, metered dose inhaler, nebulizer, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), trach collar, BiPAP, CPAP, troubleshooting high pressure alarms, weaning from mechanical ventilation, assist in high risk delivery, umbilical blood gases, Draeger V500, Draeger VN500, Servo U, and comfortable drawing and analyzing ABGs.
Preferred Skills/Experience: ED experience preferred. Bronchoscopy, Bicarbonate, Inhaled Flolan, Ketamine, Mucomyst, Nitric Oxide (INo), and Theophylline preferred. Teaching Hospital Experience Community Hospital Experience
Required Credentials: For DC locations – You must have DC license in hand, but certain units accept pending (See JD). MedStar will usually accept a later booking date if you have applied for DC licensure. For MD locations – You must have compact license or MD license.
Unit Details: Neonate, infant, adult, and geriatric patient population. Traveler responsibilities include endotracheal tube/suctioning, extubation, nasal airway placement, nasal airway suctioning, oral airway placement, oropharyngeal/suctioning, pulmonary hygiene, sputum specimen collection, tracheostomy/suctioning, and ABG interpretation.
Shift & Scheduling: No on-call requirement. Every other weekend. Holiday coverage expected.
Floating Requirements: Float between Adult and NICU units and between adult and neonatal patient populations.
7 days maximum time off
2 Manager/Supervisor references required from within the last 12 months
