Prepares patient for interventional procedure, monitors patient during procedure, and assists patient during recovery.
Observes patient and machine during procedure and reports unusual occurrences and records patient’s condition.
Maintains images and operates image vault and hemodynamic server.
Manages vasoactive, antiarrhythmic, inotropic, sedative and paralytic agents per policy and unit standard.
Manages arterial and CVP lines and applies appropriate intervention as needed..
Applies best practices to the care of sedated patients, minimizing the potential for injury.
Monitors cardiac rhythm. Interprets data, identifies issues and applies appropriate interventions.
Provides care for the immediate post-operative patient before handing off to the ICU/CVICU or Med/Surge or PACU unit.
Observes proper radiation safety on all exams.
Assists with cardiovascular data mining and submission.
Prepares room, equipment, medicine and materials as needed for patients/procedures.
Cleans and disinfects procedure room, pre-op, and post procedure area and equipment.
Follows department policies and protocols for safety in Interventional Radiology/Neuro Lab.
