About the Role:
Plans, organizes and supervises the patient care operations of the assigned department. Ensures efficient patient flow through office and related multidisciplinary care clinics, including triage, patient intake, assisting with authorizations with testing and specialty consults, and assisting with necessary medical forms. Responsible for the supervision of clinical personnel within the division.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides leadership and supervision for personnel dedicated to patient care.
- Assists practice manager in hiring process of clinical staff.
- Monitors daily patient care activity to include triage, patient intake, managing medical emergencies within the clinical area as needed.
- Supervises nursing and health care associate staff.
- Performs weekly/ monthly rounds to on and off site offices.
- Supervises the day-to-day clinical activity of the physician's offices within the department.
- Acts as a resource for clinical issues, assists with prior authorizations as needed.
- Evaluates clinic and staffing needs to provide quality patient care.
- Serves as liaison between the department and other services to ensure continuity of care.
- Conducts regular meetings with staff to monitor performance and provide feedback. Attends patient care conferences, staff or departmental meetings and other meetings as required.
Requirements:

Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing

Licensure/Certification: American Heart Association Basic Life Support CPR, Registered Nurse License - Current Maryland license or eligibility to obtain Maryland license, prefer Ambulatory Care Nursing Certification
