About this Job: General Summary of Position
Administers the ICANL accreditation program. Performs clinical diagnostic Nuclear Medicine testing. Performs other duties related to Nuclear Medicine.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities


  • Contributes to the achievement of established department goals and objectives and adheres to department policies procedures quality standards and safety standards. Complies with governmental and accreditation regulations.
  • Assists in coordinating activities with other departments and in resolving operating problems.
  • Coordinates repairs and maintenance on the nuclear medicine equipment.
  • Implements radiation safety policies and procedures to ensure that the safety of personnel and legal requirements are met for handling and disposing of radioactive materials.
  • Performs duties of Nuclear Medicine Technologist as needed.
  • Reviews material and repair invoices pertaining to nuclear medicine for accuracy and approves payment.
  • Schedules Nuclear Medicine Technologists assigning to offices and coordinating vacation and other leave with Practice Administrators.
  • Schedules quality assurance meetings with physicians and technologists.
  • Serves as the Technical Director over the ICANL accreditation including the selection of quality assurance measures that will assure high-quality images reports and outcomes from the nuclear medicine program. Assures all staff involved in nuclear stress testing and imaging follow the company's specific policies and guidelines pertaining to ICANL accreditation.
  • Minimal Qualifications
    Education
    • Registered in Nuclear Medicine Technology by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists required
    Experience
    • 5-7 years Nuclear medicine technologist experience. technical director delegation experience required
    Licenses and Certifications
    • Health Services\NMTCB - Nuclear Medicine Tech Nuclear Medicine Technologist license in the State of Maryland required and
    • CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (includes BLS and NRP) for healthcare providers from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within 90 Days required and
    • Additional unit/specialty certifications may vary by department or business unit.
    Knowledge Skills and Abilities
    • Verbal and written communication skills.
    • Working knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
    This position has a hiring range of : USD $42.82 - USD $78.27 /Hr.
