Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Telemetry Float Pool experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).

• 3 months of Cerner experience is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Arizona license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

Required Skills/Experience:
Must have unit/specialty experience in the past 6 months.
Must be able to titrate cardiac drips.
RNs must be able to interpret EKGs.

Unit Details:
Centralized telemetry monitoring is used on Tele B3A and Tele Neuro.
CV Tele B3A cares for post-cath-lab, post-vascular-procedure, day-2 CABG, and general telemetry patients.
CV Tele B3A uses Amio, Cardene, Nitro, Heparin, and Dobutamine; these drips are titrated down only.
CV Tele B3A and Tele Neuro have no ventilators.
Patients on CV Tele B3A are 15 years old and older; there are no pediatric patients.
Tele Neuro cares for postsurgical neuro, post-craniotomy, spine, and post-tPA CVA patients; no ICP monitoring is used.
Medical-Surgical C5 is 80% surgical and 20% oncology, with orthopedic, urological, abdominal, Whipple, and women's surgery patients (no OB/GYN); it has 8-10 elective knee/hip cases per week.
Medical-Surgical B2C cares for general medical-surgical patients requiring telemetry.
Medical-Surgical B2C uses Amio and Cardizem, titrated down only.
Medical-Surgical C5 and B2C use GE monitors with central telemetry monitoring.
Medical-Surgical C5 and B2C use Spectralink phones with attached call lights.
CV Tele B3A and Tele Neuro have 1:3-4 ratios; Medical-Surgical C5 and B2C have 1:4 ratios.

Shift & Scheduling:
4 weekend shifts per schedule are required (Saturday/Sunday).
Must work 2 of 3 major holidays.
Tele B3A and Tele Neuro require every other weekend.
Medical-Surgical C5 and B2C require 4 weekend shifts per 4-week period: days are Saturday/Sunday and nights are Friday/Saturday.
Medical-Surgical C5 and B2C require one major and one minor holiday.

Floating Requirements:
The clinician is first to float.
Depending on skill level, nurses will float to ICU, Cardiac Tele, all Tele units, MedSurg, and any and every holding area, including the Cath Lab, ER, observation floor, and a hallway.
The observation floor is staffed first, followed by the other units.
Floating includes the Chandler and Mercy Gilbert campuses; the campus and unit are provided 1.5 hours before shift start.
Floating to different units mid-shift can occur.
Floating to another campus within a single shift is rare but possible.
The Chandler and Mercy Gilbert campuses are 9 miles apart, approximately 15 minutes by interstate depending on traffic.
Floating from Tele B3A is to similar or lower-acuity units.
Medical-Surgical C5 floats to MedSurg Tele B2C and B2D.
Medical-Surgical B2C floats to MedSurg Tele C5 and B2D.
