Experience:
• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 60 months of Telemetry Float Pool experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.
• Experience with Cerner is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a West Virginia license or compact license (required after submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.
• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

Artificial nails are not allowed for any travelers. Failure to adhere could result in being sent home and/or terminated if policy is not followed.
If candidate worked a perm facility in the last 12 months, 1 reference must be from the perm facility.
References: At least 1 reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job being applied to.
Required Skills/Experience: Must be comfortable taking ratios from 1:2-10.
Preferred Skills/Experience: 1 year of ICU experience or 1 year of ED experience preferred.
Special Requests: Eligibility as current/previous employee: cumulative experience applies for previous travelers.
Unit Details: Patient ratios vary by unit: CCU 1:2-3; IMC 1:4-6; MS Level 7 1:5-6; MS Level 8 1:5-8; Skilled Care 1:8-10. Common diagnoses include NSTEMI, pneumonia, sepsis, diabetes, heart disease, and diverticulitis. If working in ED or CCU, traveler will be expected to manage all critical drips, including heparin. Respiratory therapists manage breathing treatments and respiratory equipment; nurses are expected to troubleshoot vents, trachs, BiPAP, CPAP, and Airvo. Monitor tech available 24/7; nurses are expected to read and interpret telemetry, print strips, perform measurements, and identify rhythms. Nurse aides/patient care tech ratios are 1:7-15.
Shift & Scheduling: Travelers may submit their ideal schedule to the manager, but final scheduling is based on unit balance and staffing needs; schedules are made 4 weeks at a time. Every other weekend. May be asked to participate in holiday rotation, split between Group A and Group B. No call. Assignments are sent via text message within 2 hours prior to shift start.
Floating Requirements: Will be expected to float to multiple units of varying acuity levels; would only float to ED or CCU if within their skillset. ICU/stepdown travelers comfortable floating to lower acuity units are preferred.
14 days maximum time off
1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 2 years
Driver’s license required for submission
Certifications:
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
