Experience:
• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 24 months of Telemetry Float Pool experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.
• 3 months of Cerner experience is preferred.
Requirements:

Required Skills/Experience: - Must have unit/specialty experience in the past 6 months. - Must be able to titrate cardiac drips. - Must be able to interpret EKGs.
Required Credentials: - You are required to pass a Basic Dysrhythmia/EKG exam during onboarding. - Pass/fail sim lab on day one of orientation.
Special Requests: - Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. - Cannot have worked at any CommonSpirit location within the last 12 months. - Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility. - Dysrhythmia exam must be completed within 48 hours of offer, with 2 max attempts.
Unit Details: - Telemetry Float Pool includes CV Tele, Neuro Tele, and Med-Surg units. Patient populations include post cath lab, post vascular procedures, day 2 CABG, general telemetry, neuro post-surgical, post crani, spine, CVA post TPA, ortho, surgical, oncology, and general Med-Surg telemetry patients. - Ratios: 1:3-4 on CV Tele and Neuro Tele; 1:4 days and nights on Med-Surg units. - Uses centralized telemetry, GE monitors, and Spectralink phones. No pediatrics; ages 15 and older. No ICP monitoring.
Shift & Scheduling: - 4 weekend shifts per schedule (Sat/Sun). - Must work 2 of 3 major holidays.
Floating Requirements: - ER float positions will require floating between different ER satellite locations in the area. A home base facility will try to be established; however, this may not be the facility the clinician is regularly at. A schedule will be made in advance, so the clinician is aware of what location they will be reporting to. - First to float and will float between all Tele and MedSurg units. Depending on skill level, nurses will float to ICU, Cardiac Tele, all Tele units, MedSurg, and any holding area, including Cath Lab, ER, observation floor, or hallway. Observation floor is staffed first, then the other units. Floating includes Chandler and Mercy Gilbert campuses. Notification of campus and unit is given 1.5 hours prior to shift start. Mid-shift floating can happen. Floating to another campus within a single shift is rare but possible. The two campuses are 9 miles apart and about 15 minutes away via interstate. Must clock out when leaving one campus and clock in upon arrival at the other campus.
