Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).

• Experience with Paragon is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Texas license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed.

• Staff, Part-Time, and Per Diem employees currently working at this health system cannot be submitted.

Unit Details:
Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:4 (Med-Surg) and 1:6 (IRF); these numbers are frequently adjusted by the level of care required by the patient and reviewed during staffing 2x/day.
If Med-Surg census does not support the assignment, the nurse may be assigned IRF patients.
Patient cases include total knee, hip, and shoulder procedures, CVAs, encephalopathy, lumbar fusions, and “clean” medical-surgical patients when bed needs necessitate.
Unit work includes telemetry, IVs, Foley catheters, and dressing changes.
Off-site monitor technicians monitor telemetry and notify staff when a rhythm variation is noted.

Shift & Scheduling:
Every other weekend is required.
Holidays are rotated to allow all staff time to spend with their families.
Self-scheduling is not available, but schedule flexibility may be accommodated.

Floating Requirements:
If census is low, the nurse may remain on the current unit or float to another unit in the hospital if there is a greater need for nursing staff; floating is limited to another Med-Surg unit with similar staffing ratios.

7 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1. Start assignment restriction: 14 days

2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 12 months
