Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 22 months of Telemetry Unit experience.

• Travel experience is required.

• Experience with Epic is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Washington license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• 6 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Aya Program - Providence Health & Services and no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - Providence Health & Services.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: First-time travelers not accepted. Must have surgical tele experience, post-open-heart surgery and vascular experience, groin/radial band management, IV skills, and 2-3 years telemetry experience.

Preferred Skills/Experience: VAD and TAVR experience preferred. Teaching hospital experience is preferred. Community hospital experience is preferred.

Required Credentials: Cannot have any hits/suspensions on license or any background hits from any point in the past. If you have a multistate/compact nursing license, you will be required to complete a one time 6 hour suicide prevention training according to the WA state regulations.

Special Requests: Permanent employees from other Providence facilities (non-Swedish) are eligible for a travel contract only after at least 3 months of separation. RTO must be listed at time of submission. All positions at Providence Health & Services require that any and all lab items requested during onboarding be completed within 72 hours of signing a contract - no exceptions. This means candidates must be responsive and willing to go to a lab to complete health orders ASAP after signing. Failure to comply may lead to a pushed start or cancellation as assessed by the facility. References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years. You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Unit Details: Adult and geriatric patient population. Surgical cardiac telemetry unit caring for myocardial infarction, rule-out MI, primary arrhythmias, pre/post open-heart surgery patients, vascular surgery patients, coronary artery disease, heart failure, pre/post cath lab patients with or without interventions, and stroke patients with cardiac involvement; specialized structural heart support including VAD and TAVR. Nurse-patient ratio is 1:4 across the board and can be 5 at midnight. Breathing treatments, chest tube set-up/care, CPAP/BiPap, trach care, blood/blood products administration, cardioversion/defibrillation, epicardial pacer management, LVAD, open heart 24-28 hours post-op, and tele interpretation/dysrhythmia management. Staffing model: 4:1 tele, 3:1 high acuity and special procedures.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend required.

Floating Requirements: Floating required to like units to meet unit needs; travelers must be flexible to floating.

Details:

AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
