Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Experience:
• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 12 months of Telemetry Unit experience with 9 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 3 months of Meditech experience is preferred.
• 9 months of acute care experience within the last 12 months.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Missouri license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.
• No current placement allowed at Program: HealthTrust Program - HCA - MidAmerica Division.

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: - Cardiac telemetry or PCU/ICU experience. - Read and interpret EKGs and telemetry strips.
Preferred Skills/Experience: - Experience with post cardiac procedural care, including ablations, cardiac catheterizations, post-op day 1 open heart, and permanent pacemaker placements. - Ability to administer and titrate IV medications such as insulin, Cardizem, Cardene, and Amiodarone.
Unit Details: - Support staff includes a charge nurse, unit secretary, and PCTs. - Uses Alaris IV pumps, SCD machines, Hill Rom beds, Dinamap in each room, Welch Allyn vital machines, wound vacs, temporary pacemakers, telemetry monitors, an EKG machine, a bladder scanner, Doppler, and iMobile for team communication. - Procedures performed on the unit include IV insertions, NGT placement and maintenance, chest tube maintenance, temporary pacemakers, and Foley insertions.
Shift & Scheduling: - Must work full-time hours including 3 weekend shifts per scheduling period.
Floating Requirements: - Contract nurses will be floated to any area where they have demonstrated competency.
