Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse - $2210 per week.

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
Experience:
• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 12 months of Telemetry Unit experience.
• Experience with Cerner is preferred.
• 1 month of acute care experience.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Michigan license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.
• Anyone currently working at this facility cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: Cardiac monitoring skills are required, including interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of dysrhythmias, telemetry monitoring on the unit, and use of rapid response/code teams. IV insulin protocols are required. Feeding tube care and management are required. Required genitourinary/renal skills include renal failure. Required IV therapy/phlebotomy skills include blood product administration, peripheral line care/management, PICC line management, and starting and maintaining IVs. Required medication skills include heparin protocols, management of cardiac drips without titration, and management of vasoactive drips without titration. Required neurological/psychiatric skills include CVA (cerebrovascular accident), seizure disorders, and substance withdrawal. Required respiratory skills include BiPAP/CPAP management, high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC), nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, oxygen administration, and oxygen tanks. Required professional skills include isolation precautions/PPE, wound care, and wound vac. Cardiac Telemetry and MS/Tele work settings are required.
Preferred Skills/Experience: Preferred skills include temporary/permanent pacemakers, titration of insulin drips, accessing/managing ports, PCA, surgical drains, interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs), tracheostomy care/management, and previous charge experience.
Unit Details: Patient population includes adults and geriatrics. The unit uses Pyxis. Provider support includes interpretation services, pharmacy, phlebotomy, physical therapy, radiology, rapid response teams, respiratory services, social services, and care management. NP and hospitalist coverage is present but not in-house 24/7. Ascension Borgess Hospital transitioned to Beacon.
Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. Every other holiday. Shifts are not rotating.
Floating Requirements: Floating is required within like units and to nearby hospitals.
14 days maximum time off
2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 2 years
