Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).

• Experience with Cerner is preferred.

Requirements:

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

Required Skills/Experience: Must be able to read and interpret all cardiac rhythms.

Special Requests: Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility. Must disclose previous employment on your resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check. Block scheduling is allowed if unit needs are met but is not guaranteed.

Unit Details: Uses Philips telemetry equipment. CPAP or BiPAP may be used per respiratory therapy. Omnicell is used on the unit. Common diagnoses and patient types include post-pacer, hemodialysis, no cardiac/surgical patients, new-onset AFib or RVR, CP sent out, ICU stepdown, surgical patients, urology patients including cystoscopy, oncology patients transferred for cardiac monitoring, rare orthopedic patients, some federal (not state) correctional patients, strokes, TBI, high-acuity patients, patients with bedsores, approximately one-third of patients from nursing homes, PEG tubes, and sepsis.

Shift & Scheduling: Weekend requirement: 4 shifts out of a 4-week schedule. For night shifts, weekend shifts are Friday/Saturday. Travelers are expected to work into the permanent staff holiday rotation schedule, including 1 major holiday and 1 minor holiday. Must report within 30 minutes if placed on standby or call.

Floating Requirements: Travelers are the first to float. They could possibly float between MSW and MHB because they are under the same license; they may also float to 2W MedSurg remote tele, MedSurg SW, some ICU assignments for tele MS holds, or ER holds.
