Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM

Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).

• Experience with Cerner is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a California license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: Must be able to read and interpret all cardiac rhythms.

Submission Limit: Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility. Eligibility as Current/Previous Employee: Must disclose previous employment on your resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check. Block scheduling is allowed if the needs of the unit are met, but is not guaranteed.

Unit Details: The unit uses Philips telemetry equipment. Vent support includes CPAP or BiPAP, per respiratory therapy. Respiratory therapy is available 24/7, and no IV team is available. Pharmacy support is available 24/7, and the unit uses Omnicell. Hospitalist or intensivist coverage is in-house, with on-call coverage after hours. Common diagnoses and patient types include post-pacemaker, hemodialysis, no cardiac/surgical patients, new-onset atrial fibrillation or RVR, ICU step-down, surgical patients, urology patients requiring cystoscopy, oncology patients who transfer if they have cardiac problems to be monitored, rare orthopedic patients, some federal (not state) correctional patients, strokes, TBI, high-acuity and heavy patients, patients with bedsores, patients from nursing homes (about 1/3 of the unit), PEG tubes, and sepsis; CP patients are sent out.

Shift & Scheduling: Weekend requirement: 4 shifts out of a 4-week schedule; day-shift weekend shifts are Saturday and Sunday. Travelers are expected to work the permanent staff holiday rotation schedule (1 major holiday and 1 minor holiday). If placed on standby or call, must report within 30 minutes.

Floating Requirements: Travelers are the first to float and could possibly float between MSW and MHB because they are under the same license; potential float destinations include 2W MedSurg remote tele, MedSurg SW, ICU for tele MS holds, or ER holds.

Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1. Start assignment restriction: 14 days

2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 12 months
