Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse - $2420 per week.

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).

• Experience with Cerner is preferred.

Requirements:

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

Required Skills/Experience: - Must be able to read and interpret all cardiac rhythms.

Special Requests: - Block scheduling is allowed if the needs of the unit are met, but it is not guaranteed. - Submission Limit: Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility. - Eligibility as Current/Previous Employee: Must disclose previous employment on your resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check.

Unit Details: - Telemetry uses Philips equipment. - Vents include CPAP or BiPAP (per RT). - A hospitalist or intensivist is in house; after hours, one is on call. - Respiratory therapy is available 24/7. - No IV team is available. - Pharmacy is available 24/7, with Omnicell medication dispensing. - Patient types include post-pacemaker, hemodialysis, no cardiac/surgical patients, new-onset AFib or RVR, ICU stepdowns, surgical patients, urology patients undergoing cystoscopy, strokes, TBI, high-acuity/heavy patients, pressure sores, PEG tubes, sepsis, rare orthopedic patients, some federal correctional patients, and patients from nursing homes (about 1/3). - CP patients are sent out; oncology patients transfer if they have cardiac problems requiring monitoring.

Shift & Scheduling: - Weekend requirement: Every other weekend, with 4 shifts out of a 4-week schedule. Night weekend shifts are Friday/Saturday. - Travelers are expected to work into the permanent staff holiday rotation schedule (1 major holiday and 1 minor holiday). - Must report within 30 mins if placed on standby/call.

Floating Requirements: - Travelers are the first to float. - Travelers may float between MSW and MHB because they are under the same license. - Travelers may float to 2W MedSurg remote tele, MedSurg SW, ICU for tele MS holds, or ER holds.
