Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
Experience:
• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 24 months of Telemetry Unit experience.
• 3 months of travel experience is required.
• BSN completion preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Maryland license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role will require floating to multiple units
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <60 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Aya Program - MedStar Health and no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - MedStar Health.

Additional Details:
References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.
Manager may or may not interview. Clinician must be okay with this. If clinician has questions, please email the AM.
You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
Required Credentials: For DC locations, you must have a DC license in hand, but certain units accept pending licensure. MedStar will usually accept a later booking date if you have applied for DC licensure. For MD locations, you must have a compact license or MD license.
Required Skills/Experience: Must have completed at least 1 travel assignment.
Unit Details: Adult and geriatric patient population. Chest pain rule-out ACS, COPD, CHF, chronic kidney disease on HD, diabetes, syncope, cardiac arrhythmias, change in mental status, and CAPD. Fast pace unit with high turnover of patients. Patients are sent to testing to determine if they need to be admitted to the hospital for further evaluation. There is constant communication between Nursing, Providers, Utilization Review and Case Management to determine patient needs and possible discharge dates.
Shift & Scheduling: Every third weekend.

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
