Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Experience:
• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 24 months of Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.
• Travel experience is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Idaho license or compact license (required after submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.
• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - St. Luke’s Health System and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - St. Luke’s Health System.

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: Post-procedural cardiac experience required, including cath lab, ablations, and open heart. Must be able to read and interpret telemetry and document it appropriately.
Preferred Skills/Experience: PCU and stepdown experience preferred.

At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job. Block scheduling is not guaranteed; max of 5 shifts in a row.
Unit Details: 3rd floor has a cardiac focus with post-op day 1 open heart, TAVRs, ablations, post-caths, pacemakers, and med-tele patients. 7th floor sees general telemetry, post-procedural overflow, CHF, sepsis, electrolyte imbalances, and post-stroke patients. Uses Epic. Common drips include set-rate cardiac gtt, amio, cardizem, dopamine, and dobutamine. Heparin and insulin drips are used; insulin titration is rare, and the facility will train if needed. Can take patients with intermittent high flow, BiPAP, and CPAP; RT manages these needs, and RNs may assist if needed. Remote telemetry tech support is located on the 3rd floor; nurses are expected to read and interpret telemetry 2x per shift.
Shift & Scheduling: 5-6 weekend shifts in each 6 week schedule for day shift; weekends are Saturday/Sunday. May be asked to work holidays, but not every holiday. Call is not typical.
Floating Requirements: Telemetry 3 and 7 pool staffing together, and travelers are expected to float between both units as needed. Travelers are first to float and may float to other MS, MS-Tele, or Tele units within the hospital and to sister facilities in Meridian and Nampa.
