Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
Experience:
• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 24 months of Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.
• Experience with Epic is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Illinois license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - OSF HealthCare and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - OSF HealthCare.

Required Skills/Experience: - EKG interpretation and medication titration.
Unit Details: - Cardio thoracic telemetry unit caring for MI, CHF, A fib, COPD, pacemaker/AICD placement, lung surgery patients, chest tube patients, esophagectomy patients not fresh from PACU, and general med overflow patients. - Patient ratios: Days 1:4-5, Nights 1:5-6. - RNs are required to titrate drips, mainly Cardizem and heparin. - Respiratory support includes CPAP and BiPAP for home regimen patients and heated high flow in special circumstances with COVID patients. - Uses Philips telemetry monitors; monitor techs are available, and nurses must read and interpret their own strips.
Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend; day shift works Saturday/Sunday. - Holiday rotation required; day shift holidays are Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day. - No call at this time.
Floating Requirements: - Float to other general medical units.
14 days maximum time off
1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months
1 reference required from within the last 3 years
Driver’s license required for submission
Certifications:
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
