Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Experience:
• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 24 months of Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.
• Travel experience is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Idaho license or compact license (required after submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.
• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - St. Luke’s Health System and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - St. Luke’s Health System.

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: Must have post-procedural cardiac experience, including cath lab, ablations, and open heart. Must be able to read and interpret telemetry and document it appropriately.
Preferred Skills/Experience: PCU and stepdown experience preferred.
Special Requests: Each employment history entry on the resume must include detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level if applicable, patient ratio, and whether the facility is a teaching facility. Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Previous employees may be considered on a one-off exception basis with approval from St. Luke’s Health System. At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job being applied to. Block scheduling is not guaranteed; maximum of 5 shifts in a row.
Unit Details: Uses Epic. 3rd floor has a cardiac focus with post-op day 1 open heart, TAVRs, ablations, post-caths, pacemakers, and med tele patients. 7th floor is general telemetry with post-procedural overflow, CHF, sepsis, electrolyte imbalances, and post-stroke patients. Nurses titrate heparin and, rarely, insulin; insulin experience is not required and training is available if needed. Common drips include set-rate cardiac gtts, amio, cardizem, dopamine, and dobutamine. RT manages intermittent high flow, BiPAP, and CPAP; RNs may be asked to assist if needed. Remote telemetry techs are located on 3rd floor; nurses read and interpret telemetry twice per shift.
Shift & Scheduling: Schedule is typically made 6 weeks at a time; the scheduler works with travelers to create the schedule, and travelers are asked to stay flexible to help fill permanent scheduling gaps. Weekend requirement: 5-6 weekend shifts in each 6-week schedule; days: Sat/Sun, nights: Fri/Sat. May be asked to work holidays, but not expected to work every holiday. No regular call requirement; more likely to float.
Floating Requirements: Tele 3 and 7 pool staffing together; travelers are first to float and may float between 3rd and 7th floors, to other MS, MS-Tele, or Tele units within the hospital, and to sister facilities in Meridian and Nampa.
