Shift: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM
Experience:
• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 24 months of Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.
• Travel experience is required.
• Experience with Epic is required.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a West Virginia license or compact license (required after submission).
• This role will require floating to multiple units
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.
• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

Artificial nails are not allowed for any travelers. Failure to adhere could result in being sent home and/or terminated if policy is not followed.
Eligibility as Current/Previous Employee: cumulative experience applies for previous travelers.
Required Skills/Experience: Med-Surg/Telemetry/Critical Drips/Trach Care required.
Preferred Skills/Experience: Peritoneal Dialysis preferred.
Special Requests: If candidate worked a perm facility in the last 12 months, 1 reference must be from the perm facility. At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to. Block scheduling allowed as long as needs are met for the unit. Takes requests into consideration.
Unit Details: Respiratory diagnoses and medical conditions; adult and geriatric population; trachs not vented. MS/Tele nurses with good cardiac background. RNs are required to titrate Heparin, Cardizem (up to 15mg/hr only), Lasix, Dopamine (low dose renal perfusion only), and Amiodarone. Monitor techs are available 24/7; charge RNs read strips, and RNs are to review strips each shift as well. Traveler may be asked to fill in the charge nurse role and would be cross trained if willing/interested. Uses CPAP, BiPAP, high flow O2, trachs on trach collar or room air, IV pumps, sequential compression devices, pulse oximetry, and specialty beds. RT maintains vents, and the RN performs trach care.
Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend on a set rotation, either weekends 1 and 3 or weekends 2 and 4. Holiday rotation with core staff. If been there long enough, the manager will see what was worked the previous year so the same holidays are not worked again; preferences can be considered.
Floating Requirements: If not needed on 3P, required to float to 4P or 5P (Med-Surg) units or the Emergency Department to care for boarded patients. Boarders are intermixed in ED. Float pool floats first, then will be in rotation.

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 2 years
1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months
Driver’s license required for submission
Certifications:
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
