Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
Experience:
• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 24 months of Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.
• Experience with Epic is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Illinois license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - OSF HealthCare and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - OSF HealthCare.

Additional Details:
References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to.
Required Skills/Experience: EKG interpretation, telemetry strip reading/interpretation, and medication titration required.
Unit Details: Cardio Thoracic telemetry unit caring for patients with MI, CHF, atrial fibrillation, COPD, pacemaker/AICD placement, lung surgery, chest tubes, esophagectomy patients not fresh from PACU, and general med overflow. Titrates mainly Cardizem and heparin drips. Respiratory support includes CPAP, BiPAP for home-regimen patients, and heated high flow only in special circumstances with COVID patients. Monitor techs are available; tele monitors are Philips. Nurse-patient ratios: Days 1:4-5, nights 1:5-6. PCT support ratios: Days 1:8-9, evenings 1:9-10, nights 1:10-12. Charge nurse available 24/7 and rarely takes patients; house supervisor available 24/7.
Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend; nights work Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday. Holiday rotation includes Memorial Day Eve, July 3rd, Labor Day Eve, Thanksgiving Eve, Christmas Eve, and New Year’s Eve. No call requirement at this time.
Floating Requirements: Float to other general medical units.
14 days maximum time off
2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 12 months
Driver’s license required for submission
Certifications:
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
