Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
Experience:
• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 24 months of Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.
• Experience with Epic is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Illinois license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - OSF HealthCare and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - OSF HealthCare.

Required Skills/Experience: - EKG interpretation required; nurses must be able to read and interpret their own telemetry strips. - Medication titration required.
Unit Details: - Adult cardio-thoracic telemetry population including MI, CHF, A-fib, COPD, pacemaker/AICD placement, lung surgery patients with chest tubes, esophagectomy patients not fresh from PACU, and general medical overflow. - Titrates Cardizem and heparin drips. - Uses Phillips telemetry monitors; monitor techs are available. - Respiratory support includes CPAP and BiPAP for home regimens and heated high flow in special circumstances with COVID patients.
Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend; nights work Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday. - Holiday rotation for nights includes Memorial Day Eve, July 3rd, Labor Day Eve, Thanksgiving Eve, Christmas Eve, and New Year’s Eve. - No call at this time.
Floating Requirements: - Float to other general medical units.
14 days maximum time off
1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months
1 reference required from within the last 3 years
Driver’s license required for submission
Certifications:
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
