Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Telemetry Unit experience.

• 3 months of Epic experience is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Kentucky license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >100 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• 6 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Vaya Workforce Solutions - University of Kentucky and no current placement allowed at Program: Vaya Workforce Solutions - University of Kentucky.

Additional Details:

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Required Skills/Experience: Will allow the consideration of first time travelers only if they have several years of experience caring for post-op surgical patients, especially orthopedics and gastrointestinal surgeries. Both medical and surgical skillset required. Solid orthopedic experience, wound vac experience, and familiarity with orthopedic equipment required.

Unit Details: Adult and geriatric patient population. Medical-surgical unit caring for bariatric, orthopedic, general surgery, GYN surgery, and spine post-op patients; primarily post-op patients, with some medicine overflow. Busy, fast-paced unit with 10-20 post-ops/day and a high turnover requiring multiple admissions and discharges per shift. Cardiac and O2 monitoring capability.

Shift & Scheduling: Self scheduling with manager final approval. Every other weekend.

Floating Requirements: Float to like units within skill set.

Special Requests: If you want to take 4-7 days off, you must be willing to make up that time. You must fulfill the full 13 week contract.

Details:

AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.

7 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 09/07/2026, 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027, 01/18/2027, 05/31/2027, 07/04/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1. Start assignment restriction: 14 days

2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 12 months
