Shift: 1:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Experience:

• 24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

• 3 months of experience with Epic is required from any number of months.

• Trauma Level 2 experience is preferred from any number of months

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required for submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Vaya Workforce Solutions - University of Wisconsin Health and no current placement allowed at Program: Vaya Workforce Solutions - University of Wisconsin Health.

Required Skills/Experience: Adult Acute Care, Bedside/Portable Procedures, Emergency Department, ICU, Pediatric Acute Care, Trauma Cases, Abdomen/GI (Decubitus, KUB, Upright), Chest and Thorax (AP, Lateral Decubitus, Routine), Soft Tissue Neck, Upper Extremity (Clavicle, Elbow, Forearm, Hand, Humerus, Scapula, Shoulder, Thumb/Finger, Trauma non-shoulder, Wrist), Lower Extremity (Ankle, Calcaneus, Femur, Foot, Knee, Patella, Tib/Fib, Toes, Trauma lower), Spine and Pelvis (Cervical, Thoracic, Lumbar, Sacrum/Coccyx, Hip, Pelvis), PACS, Infection Prevention, Isolation Precautions/PPE, Radiation Safety.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Adult Outpatient, NICU, Operating Room, Pediatric Outpatient, PICU, Barium Enema (Air/Single Contrast), GE, O-ARM, Philips, Siemens, Barium Swallow/Esophagus, Contrast Enema, Upper GI series, Facial bones, Orbits, Paranasal Sinuses, Skull, TMJ, C-Arm Procedure, Preparation/Administration of Contrast Media, AC joints*.
  • Level I trauma experience preferred

Required Credentials:

  • Pass/Fail Testing required with strict passing criteria.
  • A telemetry exam will be required prior to start. The following criteria must be met in two attempts:

Adult Exam: - 100% identification of lethal rhythms: Ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, asystole - No incorrect answers on questions regarding 3rd degree heart blocks [1 incorrect answer will cause failure] - Passing score of 80% or higher

Pediatric Exam - Ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, asystole, and sinus bradycardia - Passing score of 80% or higher

  • Attempts: Traveler will have two attempts to pass. If the individual does not pass on the second attempt their contract may be cancelled. If the traveler fails the second attempt they will submit a certificate of completion of a cardiac interpretation review course to Vaya before a third attempt will be assigned. If the traveler does not pass after three attempts Vaya will notify recruitment of the results. Recruitment will notify the hiring manager that the traveler’s assignment will be cancelled.

  • Competency Renewal: Travelers need to have an active telemetry competency on file per calendar

Shift & Scheduling:

  • Can start 4/27, 5/4, 5/11 or 5/18/2026
  • Evening/Nights, 8-hr shifts, Monday - Friday, 1300 - 2100. Weekend, holiday, and standby call rotations may be required dependent on operational need.

Special Requirements: RTO Requirements: Manager will review/approve during candidate review process. Generally, no more than 2 weeks off in a contract. If the request is more than 1 week and is consecutive (no hours in the week), Vaya will add 1 week at the end of the contract. Generally, all job postings will state that weekend rotations and some holidays will be required. Some units are stricter than others regarding holidays (ED allows for 1 holiday off).

Floating Requirements: Travelers are the first to float. The traveler may have shifts scheduled in multiple units, depending on the current staffing needs. During the traveler’s assignment, if the primary unit no longer has a need, shifts will be re-assigned to another unit to complete contract.
