Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Experience:
• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• Experience with Epic is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.
• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 24 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone who worked as a traveler at a facility in this program in the last 24 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:
Artificial nails are not allowed for any travelers. Failure to adhere could result in being sent home and/or terminated if policy is not followed.
Required Skills/Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Cath Lab. Must have experience with IABP and IVUS.
Required Credentials: RCIS is not accepted; radiologic technologists are required due to West Virginia requirements for X-ray equipment.
Special Requests: If candidate worked a perm facility in the last 12 months, 1 reference must be from perm facility. References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to. Eligibility as Current/Previous Employee: cumulative experience applies for previous travelers. Can only submit to 1 position at a time across the entire WVU system. Previous perm candidates must be gone for 2 years. Previous travelers there for 1 full year must be gone for 2 years.
Unit Details: Daily case volume ranges from 2 to 9, averaging 4-5. Technologists scrub and monitor cases. Patient population is adults only, with cardiac cases including peripheral procedures, cardiac catheterization, PCI, and device cases. Cases include ICDs and pacemakers; EP procedures and ablations are not performed. An Acist injector is used; prior familiarity is not required because training is provided. Equipment includes IABP, IVUS, and Philips hardwired bedside telemetry. Uses Cupid, Dynamics, and Xper systems. Omnicell is used; certain medications are mixed in the lab, and additional medications are provided by 24/7 pharmacy. Cardiology is on-call 24/7.
Shift & Scheduling: On-call: Monday-Friday 1530-0700, averaging 15 days per month; call days may decrease as permanent staff are added. Weekend coverage for technologists: Saturday/Sunday 0700-0700. Holiday coverage is via 7-7 call.
Floating Requirements: May be floated to Non-Invasive CV at times to start IVs.
14 days maximum time off
1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 2 years
Driver’s license required for submission
