Shift: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM

Experience:

• 5 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 24 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone who worked as a traveler at a facility in this program in the last 24 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Required Credentials: Pediatric Echocardiography (PE) through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Fetal Echocardiography (FE) through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).

Preferred Credentials: Pediatric Echocardiography (PE) is preferred but not required.

Special Requests: Artificial nails are not allowed for any travelers. Failure to adhere could result in being sent home and/or terminated if policy is not followed. If candidate worked a perm facility in the last 12 months, 1 reference must be from perm facility. Eligibility as Current/Previous Employee: cumulative experience applies for previous travelers. References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to. Only 1 position can be submitted at a time across the entire WVU system. Previous perm candidates must be gone for 2 years. Previous travelers there for 1 full year must be gone for 2 years.

Unit Details: Provides coverage at the pediatric clinic and at the hospital. Pediatric echo volume is small; procedures include echo, TEE, carotid studies, and venous duplex. Equipment includes the Philips IE33.

Shift & Scheduling: Monday-Friday. Call coverage includes 1-2 call shifts per week, with weekend coverage approximately every 4th weekend; Saturday and Sunday call hours are 7-1 PM.

14 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 2 years

Driver’s license required for submission

Certifications:

• RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (ARDMS)) or the alternative certification RCS

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
