Cardiac Cath Lab - Travel Registered Nurse - $1440 per week.

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience.

• Experience with Epic is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a South Dakota license or compact license (required after submission).

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >100 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Required Skills/Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience with coronary, complex PCI, and peripheral procedures required.
First-time travelers are accepted if well-qualified with 4 or more years of experience.
Required skills include peripheral IV skills, critical patient assessment skills, vasoactive and sedation drug administration, sterile technique, air management, and laser and lithotripsy atherectomy.

Required Credentials:
Completion of a nursing education program approved by a board of nursing.

Special Requests:
You can only have 1 active application for the same position (same unit & shift at the same facility). Example: if you apply for day shift, you can also apply for night shift on the same unit and facility, but you cannot apply for another day shift position on the same unit & facility.
Permanent staff must wait 1 full year before returning as a traveler.
Time-off requests must be approved by the manager.

Unit Details:
Patient types include coronary artery disease, STEMI, cardiogenic shock, complex total occlusions, valvular disease, renal disease, carotid stenosis, limb salvage, peripheral stenosis, thrombosis disease, and other related cardiac and peripheral vascular conditions.
Procedures include diagnostic cath procedures, Impella insertions, and LVAD insertions.
Epic Cupid charting experience is preferred.
Equipment includes IABP, Impella, Rotoblator, Penumbra, and balloon pump.
Equipment includes Baxter IV pumps and Omnicell medication dispensing.
May occasionally need to stay with a patient in PACU following a large-bore sheath procedure.

Shift & Scheduling:
Weekend rotation is every 3rd weekend (Q3).
On-call requirements include day shift Monday-Friday, 1630-1800; weekend call from Saturday at 0600 through Sunday at 1800; and night shift 1800-0600, with 12 hours guaranteed whether working or not.
Variable rotation consists of 1 week of nights followed by 3 weeks of days.
Shifts are grouped together when possible to minimize frequent switching between days and nights.
Holiday expectations: Possibly 1 holiday per assignment.

Floating Requirements:
Will not float to IR or EP; these are separate departments.

14 days maximum time off

2 Manager references required from within the last 12 months
