Experience:
• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 24 months of Cardiac Cath Lab experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.
• Experience with Epic is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Illinois license (required for submission).
• This role will require floating to multiple locations
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - OSF HealthCare and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - OSF HealthCare.

Required Skills/Experience: Ability to read strips. Titrate drips occasionally.
Unit Details: Common diagnoses/types of patients: STEMI, NSTEMI, HF, congenital, TAVR, MitraClip, peripheral. Cath lab is separate from IR and EP. Uses GE and Philips monitors and McKesson. 1:1 nursing; 4-20 cases/day on average. Regular cases are 3-person teams (1 RN and 2 RTRs); call teams are 4-person teams. When on call, the nurse acts as charge nurse.
Shift & Scheduling: May need to work over to complete cases if emergent cases come up. Weeknight call: 6-8 call shifts/month, including primary call and backup call. Weekend call: every 6-7 full weekends, starting Friday at 5:30pm and ending 0600 am on Monday morning. Additional weekend backup call shifts are 24-hour shifts on average once/month; the RN will be the circulator for emergent cases. Holiday call: Easter backup call shift.
Floating Requirements: Does not typically float, but may share to IR if experienced.

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months
1 reference required from within the last 3 years
Driver’s license required for submission
Certifications:
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
