Experience:
• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 24 months of Cardiac Cath Lab experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.
• Experience with Epic is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Illinois license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - OSF HealthCare and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - OSF HealthCare.

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: Ability to read strips.
Special Requests: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to.
Unit Details: Common diagnoses/patient population include STEMI, NSTEMI, heart failure, congenital, TAVR, MitraClip, and peripheral cases. Cath lab is separate from IR and EP. Uses GE and Philips monitors and McKesson. Titrates drips occasionally. Regular cases are staffed with 1 RN and 2 RTRs; call teams are 4-person teams. Typically 4-20 cases per day. When the nurse is on call, they act as charge nurse.
Shift & Scheduling: 6-8 call shifts per month, including primary and backup call. Weekend call every 6-7 weekends, from Friday at 5:30pm to 0600 on Monday; additional 24-hour weekend backup/circulator shifts occur about once per month. Holiday call includes an Easter backup call shift. May work over to complete emergent cases.
Floating Requirements: We don’t float, but if you have IR experience you could share there.

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months
1 reference required from within the last 3 years
Driver’s license required for submission
Certifications:
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
