Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

• Must have at least 24 months of Intensive Care Unit experience.

• Experience with Cerner is required from any number of months.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Maryland license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <60 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• Flu vaccination required for submission. Declinations not accepted.

• 12 months between Staff at Program: Aya Program - MedStar Health

Additional Details:

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

Manager may or may not interview. Clinician must be okay with this. If Clinician has questions, please email the AM.

Required Skills/Experience: CARDIAC ICU, Telemetry, Interpretation and Management of dysrhythmias, Chronic/Acute Renal failure IV therapy Skills req: IV insulin protocols, Arterial line management, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, PICC line management, Starting IVs, Continuous IV sedation, Emergency Medications, Titrate Cardiac drips, Titrate Vasoactive drips, Neurological Skills Req: CVA/Acute Stroke management, Respiratory/Thoracic Skills Req: Assist with management of BiPAP and CPAP, Assist with Chest Tube Insertion/Removal, Care of Ventilated Patient, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Interpretation of ABGs, Suctioning (ETT, NT), Ventilator Management Professional Topics and Skills, Infection Prevention, Isolation Precautions/ Use of PPE, Phlebotomy, Surgical, Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Management of patient with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, Obtain 12 lead EKG/ECG, Cardiovascular, Endocrine/Metabolic, Endocrine/Metabolic

Preferred Skills/Experience: Accessing/Managing Ports, CVVHD/CRRT, Hypothermia protocol/Arctic Sun, GI surgery, Surgical Wounds with drains/Wound Vac, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump, Pre/Post Cardiac Cath/intervention, Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring

Required Credentials: Drivers License/State ID

Shift & Scheduling:

  • Weekend Coverage: 6 weekend shifts per contract
  • Call Required: Every other weekend and holiday rotation as needed

Floating Requirements: To Med/Surg or Tele or IMC

7 days maximum time off

2 references from last 3 years (Manager/Supervisor reference type) - required for submission
