Shift: 5:30 PM - 6:00 AM

Experience:

• 3 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Medical Surgical Float Pool experience.

• 3 months of travel experience is preferred.

• 3 months of Epic experience is required with any experience within the last 12 months.

• ADN completion required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Wisconsin license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• Flu vaccination required for submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 6 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

An interview with the unit manager may not be available prior to offer. If you do not interview with the unit manager, you may interview with a third-party clinical nurse manager.

Required Credentials: Associate degree or certificate.

Preferred Skills/Experience: 1 travel contract strongly preferred. Experience with pre/post cath, post pacemaker, and TR Bands strongly preferred.

Special Requests: If a candidate has NP licensure, ThedaCare will only consider them for an NP role, not a lower position. Any missed shift must be made up within 2 weeks of the absence.

Unit Details: Assignments are based on skillset to meet staffing needs; travelers will only take patients within their skillset. RNs are paired with LPN/CNA support staff based on acuity. Primary patient populations/cases include medical/surgical, general surgical, oncology, renal, CIWA, CHF, COPD, stroke, surgical trauma and ortho, DKA, and rare pediatric patients.

Shift & Scheduling: Up to every other weekend; every weekend candidates may be considered. Holiday rotation as needed. No on-call or call-back requirements. Orientation week may not include full scheduled hours; holiday weeks may have reduced scheduled hours if the unit is closed.

Floating Requirements: Will float throughout all Med/Surg units at ThedaCare Appleton and ThedaCare Neenah; may float to all ThedaCare facilities as needed, primarily ThedaCare Neenah/ThedaCare Appleton, and must be open to smaller locations as needed. Float assignments may include TCN 5th floor cardiac patients with pre/post, heart cath, and pacemaker care, and TCN Neuro patients with stroke, post-TNK, and neurosurgery needs.

9 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 3 years

1 Manager reference required from within the last 12 months
