Shift: 5:30 PM - 6:00 AM

Experience:

• 3 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Medical Surgical Float Pool experience.

• Travel experience is required.

• 3 months of Epic experience is required with any experience within the last 12 months.

• ADN completion required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Wisconsin license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• Flu vaccination required for submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 6 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: For any RN role: if a candidate has NP licensure, ThedaCare will only consider them for an NP role, not a lower position.

Preferred Skills/Experience: One completed travel contract is strongly preferred. Experience with pre/post cardiac catheterization, post-pacemaker care, and TR bands is strongly preferred.

Special Requests: Any missed shift must be made up within 2 weeks of the absence. An interview with the unit manager may not be available prior to offer. If you do not interview with the unit manager, you may interview with a third-party clinical nurse manager.

Unit Details: At ThedaCare Neenah, the 5th-floor cardiac unit handles pre/post cardiac care, heart catheterizations and pacemaker patients; the Neuro unit handles stroke, post-TNK and neurosurgical patients. Primary cases across facilities include medical/surgical, general surgical, oncology, renal, CIWA, CHF, COPD, stroke, surgical trauma and orthopedics, and DKA; pediatric patients are rare. RNs are paired with an LPN or CNA based on acuity. Patient assignments are limited to the clinician’s skillset.

Shift & Scheduling: Weekend coverage may be scheduled up to every weekend. The assignment includes a holiday rotation as needed. No call. Weekly hours are not assured during orientation week or when the unit is closed for holidays.

Floating Requirements: The clinician will float throughout all Med/Surg units at ThedaCare Appleton and ThedaCare Neenah and may float to all ThedaCare facilities as needed, primarily Appleton and Neenah; the clinician must be open to smaller locations as needed. Placement locations will be provided in two-week increments and may change up to 2 hours in advance based on staffing needs. Assignments are based on skillset and staffing needs.
